Semaphore & Port Adelaide RSL Sub-Branch is a family freindly venue and we welcome members and visitors alike to enjoy the hospitality, entertainment, camaraderie and mate-ship that we present at our fantastic club facilities across from the foreshore and our beautiful Semaphore beach.
Enjoy, relax, eat and drink with ocean views and evening sea breeze at the Sub-Branch which locals know is one of Adelaide’s best kept secrets. Semaphore & Port Adelaide RSL offers spectacular views of the wonderful Semaphore Jetty and Foreshore, our club rooms are surrounded by the colourful Semaphore Road shopping precinct and on the hub all local festivals, street fairs and market days. Just a stones throw away from historical Port Adelaide we trade Wednesday through to Sunday.

I hope you all had a safe and happy Easter weekend. For myself it's been a weekend of relaxing with family, BBQs with friends and too much chocolate!
Last Thursday night we held our Members’ night with a cash draw jackpot of $1,000! All but one of us will be happy to hear that Nathan Mula was not at the club to collect the cash, so up it goes to $1100 this Friday. That has to be worth coming in to the club for an hour or two this Friday.

In 2015 Australia will commemorate the Anzac Centenary, marking 100 years since our nation’s involvement in the First World War. The Semaphore & Port Adelaide RSL has created this Honour Board with the names of over 2000 local men of the Semaphore, Port Adelaide, Largs Bay, Ethelton, Glanville, Rosewater, Exeter, Peterhead, Queenstown and Alberton Areas who Volunteered to serve in World War 1.
Looking for a hall to hire In the Semaphore and Port Adelaide Area? Then Look no further than the spacious Semaphore & Port Adelaide RSL‘s Thomas Currie “Diver” Derrick Memorial Hall. Our club facilities offer a safe environment within our character club rooms, professional kitchen and bar facilities, ballroom style Jarrah dance floor and large windows that offer fabulous views of Semaphore Jetty and Foreshore. We also have Security guards and an array of entertainers available for hire if required.
Captain Ross Macpherson Smith was born in Semaphore, SA 1892. A Warehouseman prior to enlistment on 19th August 1914 and embarked from Outer Harbour, SA with the 3rd Light Horse Regiment, B Squadron on board HMAT A17 Port Lincoln on 22 October 1914. He was Returned to Australia 23 March 1920.
(Pte) Alfred Harold WarrenPrivate Alfred Harold Warren 1819, a Clerk from Semaphore, South Australia prior to enlistment on 18th may 1915 and embarked from Adelaide, South Australia, with his unit 27th Battalion, 2nd Reinforcement, on board HMAT A61 Kanowna on 23 June 1915.
(Pte) William Thomas AdamsPrivate (Pte) William Thomas Adams, 7th Battalion, of Port Adelaide, SA. With three years service in the senior cadets in Broken Hill, and employed as an engineer before enlisting in August 1914, Pte Adams left Australia in October 1914.
The Semaphore and Port Adelaide RSL has always had a proud history of being one of the leading South Australian RSL Sub-Branch's. Even before the Sub-Branch was officially established in 1923 as the Semaphore and Port Adelaide R.S.S.I.L.A. (Returned Soldiers & Sailors Imperial League of Australia), the people of Semaphore and Port Adelaide had always been there for the Australian Men and Women who served their country.
Kids have always been welcomed at The Semaphore & Port Adelaide RSL and now we have a little area put aside for them to keep themselves busy while mum and dad relax, have a chat or catch up with friends.
