Hi Members, just a quick note about activities of the past week and the week to come.
As you are all aware last Friday night we had the Hon. Mark Butler MP as our guest to light the fire. Lots of members – old and new – were present for the cash draw at 1840 Hrs with Jamie Gale the lucky name drawn. Unfortunately, he wasn’t in attendance so the cash now jackpots to $200 this coming Friday!

Congratulations also to our volunteer Tess Pettit who celebrated her 21st birthday at the club that night with family and friends.
On Saturday night the reunion for the HMAS Geelong Commissioning Crew went swimmingly with good feedback from the group on both food and service. Thanks to all who helped out on the night.
Sunday night Zillah & 2Dogs played to a good crowd and the bar did well so all in all another successful week for the club.
The Week Ahead
This week my special guest for lighting the fire is Michael Slattery, the Nick Xenophon Team’s candidate for the seat of Port Adelaide and he’s also bringing some folks from the Ardrossan R.S.L.
On Saturday night we have our club’s Quiz Night Fundraiser @ $10 p/ticket please support if you can, it’s a 1930 Hrs start. Tickets at the club.

I would also like to ask if you are a licensed tradesman of any type and could spare us a small amount of time even if only for advice, please contact Rob Holdcroft as we have some repairs we require organising.
